"I'll never be able to serve God or do ministry like normal people can."
How it sounds in your head: I see people at church doing mission trips, leading worship, serving in ways that need bodies that work right. I can't do those things. Maybe God can only use whole people for important stuff, and I'm stuck on the sidelines. Maybe my only purpose is to be helped, not to help.
"No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary."
-- 1 Corinthians 12:22Religious message that ministry requires certain abilities, limiting God's power to work through weakness and redefining 'useful' by human standards.
He observes ministry opportunities that seem to require physical abilities he lacks, and church culture often celebrates visible, physical service. His disability appears to disqualify him from 'real' ministry participation.
Speech impediment, couldn't speak well, argued with God that he was unqualified to lead. God said 'I MADE your mouth' and used him to deliver a NATION, speak to Pharaoh, write Scripture—limitation didn't limit God's use.
I REFUSE the lie that my disability disqualifies me from serving God. IT IS WRITTEN that the seemingly weaker members are NECESSARY in the body of Christ. My limitation is not disqualification—it's SPECIALIZATION. IT IS WRITTEN that God's strength is made perfect in weakness, and He uses the foolish things to shame the wise. Moses had a speech impediment and led a nation. I carry the BARAK blessing—blessed in everything I set my hand to. God doesn't need my ability. He needs my AVAILABILITY. I am CALLED, CHOSEN, and fully EQUIPPED for everything He's prepared for me.
The Father isn't waiting for you to be 'able enough' to use you—He's ALREADY using you. Like Moses' mouth limitation became the platform for God's voice, your weakness is where His power shows up strongest.
