"I'll die in poverty because I lost my income at the end of life."
How it sounds in your head: I don't have time to rebuild. I can't recover from this at my age. I'll die broke, a burden to everyone, with nothing left. God didn't come through in time.
"I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread."
-- Psalm 37:25Enemy attack on God's character as Provider, using time scarcity and end-of-life fear as weapons.
She's watching her savings evaporate with no way to replenish. The hospice reality makes earning feel impossible.
She was one day away from her sons being taken as slaves to pay lifetime debt. Elisha told her to gather jars—oil multiplied INSTANTLY until every jar was full. She paid ALL debt with SURPLUS remaining. One afternoon.
I REFUSE the lie that I'll die in poverty because time is short. IT IS WRITTEN that the righteous are NEVER forsaken, never begging bread, even in old age. My provision doesn't come from my ability to work—it comes from the BARAK blessing of Abraham that is mine in Christ. Christ redeemed me from the CURSE of poverty so the BLESSING of abundance could rest on me. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:8, 'The Lord will command the blessing on your storehouses and in all you set your hand to.' God commanded blessing on a widow's oil jar and paid LIFETIME debt in one afternoon. He can do the same for me RIGHT NOW. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, even at the end of my life.
The Father isn't calculating how many years you have left to 'deserve' provision. He's the Father who gives the RING and ROBE to the son who just BLEW everything—instant restoration, no waiting period, no earning it back.
