"If the church wasn't safe, then God's house isn't safe either."
How it sounds in your head: They said church was supposed to be family, but I got gossiped about, left out, judged for what I wore. If that's God's house, I don't want to be there. Maybe God's not a safe place either.
"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up."

The building called 'God's house' became a place of judgment and exclusion. When humans fail in sacred spaces, it's easy to believe the Sacred itself failed.
Crippled, hidden, afraid of the king's house because Saul's household had been violent and political. David brought him to the table PERMANENTLY—not because of his worthiness, but because of covenant with Jonathan.
I REFUSE the lie that unsafe church means unsafe God. IT IS WRITTEN that when even parents forsake, the Lord TAKES ME UP. I am taken up, lifted, held by the God who NEVER casts out those who come. IT IS WRITTEN that I have a seat at the King's table—not because church earned it for me, but because of the BETTER covenant in Jesus' blood. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK rests on me regardless of human failure. The Father's house has a CHAIR with my name, a ROBE in my size, and a PARTY already planned.
While you're still afraid to come near because of what happened in the building, the Father is preparing your seat at His table permanently. He's not waiting for you to get over it—He's already sent the invitation with your crutches included.
