"If I tithe or give, then God will bless me. My generosity earns His provision."
How it sounds in your head: I need to sow a seed to unlock my breakthrough. If I just give enough, God will open the windows of heaven. But what if I can't afford to tithe right now? Does that mean He won't provide?
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:8Religion twisting Malachi 3:10 into a transactional formula, making God's provision contingent on your giving instead of His covenant faithfulness through Christ.
Prosperity preachers promise return on investment if you 'sow into this ministry.' Churches pressure you to tithe even when you can't pay rent, implying God's blessing is conditional on your generosity.
The widow gave her last meal to Elijah, and God multiplied her oil and flour. But the provision wasn't BECAUSE she gave—it was because God's WORD declared 'the bin of flour shall not be used up.' His promise sustains, not our performance.
I REFUSE the lie that my giving earns God's provision. IT IS WRITTEN: God makes all grace abound toward me so that I ALWAYS have ALL sufficiency in ALL things. I don't give TO get blessed—I give BECAUSE I'm already blessed. My provision flows from Christ's finished work, not my transaction. IT IS WRITTEN: Philippians 4:19 says God supplies all my needs according to HIS riches in glory, not according to my tithe. The BARAK blessing isn't unlocked by sowing seeds—it's my inheritance by covenant blood.
Your Father isn't a vending machine waiting for correct payment. He's already commanded blessing on your storehouses (Deuteronomy 28:8) because you're His daughter, not because you paid admission. The windows of heaven are open over you—NOW.
