"If I haven't been tithing or giving, God won't provide for me."
How it sounds in your head: I barely have enough for myself, so I haven't been giving to church. Now I'm stuck—how can I expect God's provision when I haven't been faithful with tithes? I'm disqualified until I get my giving right.
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
-- Romans 8:32Source: Religious legalism that makes God's provision transactional, teaching that giving unlocks blessing instead of grace freely given.
Malachi 3:10 is quoted constantly—'bring the whole tithe or you're robbing God.' It feels like a divine vending machine: insert 10%, receive blessing. No tithe, no provision. Simple math.
He was a criminal dying beside Jesus with zero good works, zero tithes, zero church attendance. Jesus said 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise'—instant access to everything with nothing to give.
I REFUSE the lie that my provision depends on my giving record. IT IS WRITTEN that He who gave His own Son will FREELY give me ALL things. Freely. Not transactionally. The thief on the cross had nothing to give and got paradise. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 1:3 that I am ALREADY blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in Christ—past tense, done deal. The barak blessing is mine through covenant, not through my checkbook. Abraham's blessing came to me through Galatians 3:13-14 because of what JESUS did, not what I give. I am blessed coming in and going out by GRACE.
Your Father already gave you His Son—you think He's holding back provision until you tithe? He's not a vending machine. The prodigal got the feast while bankrupt, the thief got paradise while broke, and you get blessing because you're His, not because you paid for it.
