"God's provision stopped when Dad lost his job. We're on our own now."
How it sounds in your head: Everything changed when Dad got laid off. The bills keep coming and Mom's stressed. Maybe God provided before, but now we're in survival mode. Feels like we're sinking and God's watching.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:19Source: Circumstantial lie - equating God's faithfulness with visible circumstances rather than covenant reality.
The tension in the house is palpable. Parents whisper about money. The evidence of his eyes says provision stopped.
God told him to hide by a brook during famine - no job, no income, no visible source. RAVENS brought him bread and meat every morning and evening, and he drank from the brook - supernatural provision with zero human employment.
I REFUSE the lie that job loss stops God's provision. IT IS WRITTEN that God shall supply ALL my need according to HIS riches in glory - not according to employment status. Elijah had no job and ravens fed him daily. Israel had no income and manna appeared for 40 years. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28 that the Lord commands the blessing on my storehouses - that's not dependent on a paycheck. The barak blessing is on my family by covenant. We are blessed coming in and going out, in the city and in the field, regardless of employment circumstances. God is not limited by the economy.
Father hasn't stepped back because of job loss - He's running toward your family with provision that has NOTHING to do with employment. While the world panics about layoffs, He's preparing ravens, multiplying oil, and commanding blessing on your household because you're His and the covenant doesn't have an unemployment clause.
