"I've made too many financial mistakes for God to trust me with more."
How it sounds in your head: You've blown opportunities, made terrible decisions, wasted resources. God's not going to give you more when you've proven you can't handle what you had. Trust is earned, and you've spent yours.
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
-- Lamentations 3:22-23Source: Religion projecting human disappointment onto God, making His provision conditional on your track record.
The evidence of past failures is undeniable - bankruptcies, bad investments, foolish choices. Why would God reward incompetence with increase?
Jonah directly disobeyed God, ran the opposite direction, caused a storm, got swallowed by a fish - complete disaster of his own making. God's response: 'Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the SECOND TIME' - full restoration, immediate recommission.
I REFUSE the lie that past mistakes disqualify me from provision. IT IS WRITTEN that His compassions are NEW every morning - yesterday's failures don't limit today's grace. The BARAK protected murderers and deceivers by COVENANT, not conduct. Jonah got a SECOND CHANCE after complete rebellion. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ. The Father doesn't withhold provision based on my track record - His generosity flows from HIS faithfulness, not mine.
The Father isn't reviewing your financial failures to determine if you deserve more. He's running toward you with the fattened calf - the feast prepared BEFORE you proved anything, because provision is WHO HE IS.
