"If I had stronger faith, I wouldn't still be in pain."
How it sounds in your head: Other people get healed. What's wrong with MY faith? Maybe I'm not praying right. Maybe I don't believe hard enough. Every day I wake up in pain is proof I'm failing spiritually.
"The righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference."
-- Romans 3:22Religious lie that makes healing about human performance rather than Christ's finished work, adding guilt to suffering.
He's heard 'if you have faith like a mustard seed' and thinks that means his continued pain proves insufficient faith. It turns every pain flare-up into spiritual condemnation.
Centurion asked Jesus to heal his servant. Jesus offered to come. Centurion said 'just say the word'—and Jesus called it GREAT FAITH. That same hour, the servant was healed at a distance. The servant's faith wasn't even mentioned—the centurion's simple trust was ENOUGH.
I REFUSE the lie that my pain proves weak faith. IT IS WRITTEN: 'The righteousness of God through faith IN Jesus Christ'—not faith in my faith, but IN HIM. Healing isn't earned by perfect believing—it's received by imperfect believers from a perfect Savior. IT IS WRITTEN: 'It is finished'—that includes my healing. My faith isn't the SOURCE; Jesus is. If the faith of a MUSTARD SEED can move mountains, then my imperfect faith in a PERFECT Savior is more than enough. I stop measuring my faith and start magnifying HIS faithfulness.
The Father isn't grading your faith like a teacher disappointed in your test score. He's a Father EAGER to heal you, looking for the TINIEST crack of trust to flood with His power. You're not failing Him—you're about to see Him show up DESPITE your doubts.
