"If I had stronger faith, God would actually answer my prayers and move in my life."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone else seems to get breakthroughs. The worship leader's prayers work. That campus ministry guy sees miracles. Meanwhile, I pray and nothing happens. My faith must be defective. I'm doing belief wrong.
"So Jesus said to them, 'Because of your unbelief? Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.'"
-- Matthew 17:20Source: Religion teaching that grades faith like an exam, making God's response depend on your belief intensity instead of His nature.
You've prayed for things that didn't happen while watching others post testimony after testimony on Instagram. The spiritual comparison game makes it seem like faith is a skill you haven't mastered yet.
This father literally said 'I believe; help my UNBELIEF!' - admitting his faith was weak and mixed with doubt. Jesus didn't say 'come back when you believe more.' He IMMEDIATELY cast out the demon that had tormented his son for years. Weak faith + Strong God = Full breakthrough.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith level controls God's movement. IT IS WRITTEN that mustard-seed faith moves mountains - and I have at least that much. My breakthrough isn't waiting for me to generate better belief. The Father is RUNNING toward me right now with everything I need. IT IS WRITTEN that I am Abraham's seed and heir according to the PROMISE - not according to my faith performance. The BARAK blessing flows to me by COVENANT, not by my ability to conjure up stronger emotions during prayer. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and nothing is impossible for me.
The Father isn't withholding until you muster up more faith - He's already racing toward you with the robe, ring, and fattened calf. Your tiny, imperfect, doubt-mixed faith is enough because it's connected to an INFINITE God who measures His response by His nature, not your belief intensity.
