"If I deconstruct the harmful parts, I'll lose everything true."
How it sounds in your head: I need to dismantle the shame and control, but what if it's all connected? What if questioning purity culture means losing sexual ethics entirely? What if rejecting religious abuse means abandoning Christ?
"For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is."
-- 1 Corinthians 3:11-13Religious system that wove truth and control so tightly together that removing toxicity feels like destroying foundation.
Every doctrine she questions seems load-bearing. She's terrified that pulling out the lies will collapse the entire structure, leaving her with nothing.
Jesus walked into the temple and violently overturned tables, drove out merchants with a whip, and scattered money everywhere. He DECONSTRUCTED the religious system that had corrupted His Father's house, and the structure itself remained standing—purified, not destroyed.
I REFUSE the lie that questioning harmful teaching means losing Christ. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus is the foundation, and everything else is just building materials—some gold, some straw. I am not destroying my faith; I am purifying it. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus Himself deconstructed the temple system, overturning tables while the structure stood firm. I am Abraham's seed, blessed by covenant not correctness. The BARAK doesn't depend on perfect doctrine—it rests on His promise. I declare that what's TRUE will remain when the hay burns off.
The Father is handing you the whip to overturn the tables in your own temple, and He's cheering you on. What survives your questions is what He actually said—and that's better than you've been told.
