"If healing was for today, everyone would be healed. Since people die, it must not be God's will."
How it sounds in your head: You prayed for your mom's cancer. She died. You prayed for your friend's kid. Still autistic. If healing is always available, why isn't everyone healed? The math doesn't work unless healing isn't actually always God's will.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Source: Religious fatalism weaponizing unanswered prayers to excuse powerlessness and defend God's reputation at His expense.
The evidence surrounds you—good people dying, children suffering, faithful prayers seemingly ignored. It's easier to believe God has mysterious sovereignty that includes sickness than to face the pain of 'why not this time?'
Roman officer's servant was paralyzed, dying, tormented. Centurion said, 'Just speak the word, and my servant will be healed.' Jesus marveled at his faith and spoke: 'Go; let it be done as you have believed.' The servant was healed THAT SAME HOUR—long distance, instant, complete.
I REFUSE the lie that unanswered prayers prove healing isn't God's will. IT IS WRITTEN: Beloved, I pray you prosper in all things and be in health—God's will is health, prosperity, wholeness. The gap between promise and manifestation doesn't change the promise. IT IS WRITTEN: by His stripes I was healed—past tense, purchased, finished. I live in a fallen world with an enemy who kills, steals, destroys—but my God gives LIFE abundantly. I am Abraham's seed, marked by the BARAK that protected even when they sinned. I receive healing, I speak healing, I expect healing.
The Father isn't withholding healing because of secret sovereignty—His will is crystal clear in Scripture: 'I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health.' When healing doesn't manifest, He's not the one blocking it. He's weeping with you, still reaching, still willing, still the same Healer who never said no to anyone who asked.
