"I watched a scary occult movie and now I'm haunted by what I saw and invited in."
How it sounds in your head: It was just supposed to be a movie at my friend's house. But now I can't unsee those images and I feel like something attached to me. I shouldn't have watched it. People say watching opens spiritual doors. I feel haunted and I did it to myself.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

The images replay in her mind constantly and the fear feels supernatural, not just psychological. Youth group taught that occult media invites spirits, making her nightmares feel like confirmation she opened herself to attack.
Blind from birth, religious leaders debated whether his sin or his parents' sin caused it. Jesus said NEITHER - it happened so God's glory would be revealed, then INSTANTLY healed him with mud and a command.
I REFUSE the lie that a movie gave demons access to haunt me. IT IS WRITTEN that God has not given me a spirit of fear but of POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND. Those images on a screen cannot override my position in Christ. Jesus came to DESTROY the devil's works, and that includes every tormenting image replaying in my mind. IT IS WRITTEN that I am sealed with the Holy Spirit, and no movie can break that seal. The BARAK blessing protected Judah even when he slept with a prostitute - how much MORE does it protect me from pixels on a screen? I walk in the sound mind Christ purchased. Every haunting thought BOWS to the name of Jesus in my mouth.
The Father isn't disappointed you watched that movie - He's grieved that fear is robbing you of the peace that's already yours. While those images replay, He's speaking louder truths over you: you are HELD, SEALED, and PROTECTED, and no horror film can change your position as His beloved daughter.
