"I wasted my life serving a church that preached prosperity while I stayed poor"
How it sounds in your head: I tithed faithfully for sixty years. They said seedtime and harvest, sowing and reaping, name it and claim it. I named it. I claimed it. I sowed into every building campaign. I'm dying on Medicaid with nothing to leave my grandchildren. It was all a lie, and I fell for it.
"These all died in faith, not having received the promises...God having provided something better for us...All these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise."
-- Hebrews 11:13, 39-40Source: Prosperity gospel distortion partnering with disappointment to invalidate genuine faith and create cynicism toward all promises of provision
She followed the formula precisely—tithed beyond her means, gave sacrificially, believed the promises. The math didn't work. She's financially struggling while pastors from that system bought jets. The evidence suggests she was conned.
Abraham received the most extravagant promises in Scripture—land, descendants like stars, blessing all nations. He died owning only a burial cave, living in tents, having seen only ONE son of promise. Hebrews 11 calls him a HERO of faith, not a failure for dying 'poor.'
I REFUSE the lie that I wasted my life. IT IS WRITTEN: the heroes of Hebrews 11 died not having received the promises, yet obtained GOOD TESTIMONY. The prosperity preachers distorted TIMING—they made earth the focus when Heaven is the reward. But I also refuse to swing to cynicism—IT IS WRITTEN: the BARAK blessing is mine by covenant, and God can move SUDDENLY even now. My treasure in Heaven is MASSIVE, and my earthly account isn't closed until I breathe my last. I receive BARAK blessing—blessed in my giving, and not disqualified from receiving. Abraham died in a tent but is called the father of FAITH, not failure.
The Father is saying: 'Beloved daughter, you think you got nothing for your giving? I've been compounding interest in Heaven's account for sixty years. The prosperity preachers were HALF right—there IS reward, but they had the wrong ADDRESS. Your mansion is ready. And watch—I may still shock your grandchildren with sudden provision before you go.' He's running toward you with BOTH the eternal robe AND the ring of earthly authority.
