"I wasted my career chasing the wrong things instead of God's plan."
How it sounds in your head: Forty years climbing ladders that don't matter. You chose money over ministry, success over significance, salary over calling. Now it's too late to do what you were actually made for. You missed it. Wasted decades. Can't get them back.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Enemy using regret to paralyze present purpose and obscure redemptive nature of God.
Looking back, priorities were clearly wrong. Time spent on career could have been spent on kingdom things. The regret is REAL and the years are GONE.
Paul spent years MURDERING Christians—the WRONG side, persecuting God's plan—yet God didn't discard him. Instead, He made Paul the greatest apostle, using even his 'wasted' religious zeal for kingdom purpose.
I REFUSE the lie that I wasted my career or missed God's plan. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the years the locusts ate—not just redeems the future, but RESTORES the past. Every experience, every skill, every connection was Father-filtered for THIS moment. IT IS WRITTEN that all things work together for good to those who love God. I didn't miss it—I'm in the MIDDLE of it. Like Paul, my past becomes my platform. Like Moses, my 'lost' years were preparation. God wastes NOTHING. I am right on time.
The Father wasn't wringing His hands while you worked—He was WEAVING every thread into a tapestry you're only now positioned to see. What looks like waste to you looks like preparation to Him.
