"I was never the wife or mother they needed. I failed at love."
How it sounds in your head: I see it in my kids' dysfunction, in my husband's coldness before he died. I didn't love well enough. I was too selfish, too broken, too something. I failed at the one thing women are supposed to do—love their family well.
"We love Him because He first loved us."
-- 1 John 4:19Religion places family success on women's shoulders; enemy uses relational pain as proof of lovelessness.
You carry decades of guilt—every harsh word, every moment of absence, every way you fell short. Your family's struggles feel like report cards on your failure. The enemy says you're unlovable BECAUSE you couldn't love perfectly.
Rahab was a prostitute—her profession was literally selling counterfeit intimacy, failing at love for money. God put her in the MESSIANIC LINE. She's listed as one of Jesus' ancestors, honored forever, loved completely.
I REFUSE the lie that relational failures make me unlovable. IT IS WRITTEN that we love because HE FIRST LOVED US—I was never the source, just a branch on the vine. The Father does NOT measure my worth by my family's outcomes; He measures it by Jesus' blood. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ. I am BARAK blessed—loved despite every failure, cherished despite every regret.
The Father doesn't see a failed wife or mother; He sees a beloved daughter who carried impossible burdens. He's not tallying your mistakes—He's covering them in blood, calling you 'faithful' over every moment you thought you failed.
