"My body is disgusting and no one could love me looking like this."
How it sounds in your head: Puberty has hit and your body feels like a betrayal—acne, awkward proportions, changes you didn't ask for. You compare yourself to everyone on social media and at school and you feel like you lost a genetic lottery. You're convinced your body makes you unlovable.
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well."
-- Psalm 139:14Enemy lie amplified through comparison culture, social media filters, and the brutal honesty of middle school peers who comment on bodies without mercy.
You've been made fun of for how you look—too skinny, too fat, too short, acne, whatever. You see the guys who look older or more athletic getting attention and respect. Your changing body feels like evidence that you're defective.
Described as having 'weak eyes' (not attractive) while her sister was 'beautiful.' Unloved by her husband who preferred Rachel. God's response: He OPENED her womb, blessed her with sons, and put her in the Messianic line—Jesus came through Leah, not beautiful Rachel.
I REFUSE the lie that my body makes me unlovable. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made—God's marvelous work, not a mistake or rough draft. My body is the TEMPLE of the Holy Spirit, bought with the blood of Jesus and declared HOLY. IT IS WRITTEN in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 that I've been bought with a price and my body belongs to God—He doesn't make garbage. I am not defined by comparisons, social media standards, or middle school cruelty. I am Abraham's seed, walking in the BARAK blessing that has nothing to do with appearance and everything to do with covenant. I am loved, valuable, and wonderfully made.
While you're disgusted with how you look, the Father is marveling at His workmanship in you. He sees past acne and awkwardness to the masterpiece He's creating, and He's not waiting for you to 'improve' to love you.
