"I threw away my best years on stupid things."
How it sounds in your head: I spent 7th and 8th grade being an idiot—getting in trouble, failing classes, acting like a clown for attention. Those were supposed to be important years and I trashed them.
"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead."

He can look back at report cards, discipline records, cringeworthy social media posts—tangible evidence of 'wasted' time. Adults have reinforced that 'these years matter' and he feels like he blew it.
Samson wasted his ENTIRE calling chasing women, breaking vows, playing games with his anointing—total train wreck. In his FINAL MOMENT, blind and broken, one prayer brought MORE VICTORY than his entire previous life.
I REFUSE the lie that I threw away years I needed. IT IS WRITTEN that I am to FORGET what is behind and reach forward to what's ahead. My identity isn't defined by 7th grade mistakes—it's defined by whose I AM. I am a son of God, righteousness of God in Christ, and the blood of Jesus doesn't just forgive my stupid years—it REDEEMS them into testimony. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NOW NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. The BARAK blessing that protected Jacob the DECEIVER protects me. God is taking what I thought I wasted and turning it into a SETUP for something greater than if I'd done it 'right' all along.
Your Father isn't tallying up your stupid years as deficit—He's already calculating how to turn them into GLORY. The years you think you wasted, He's about to redeem into a story that reaches people 'perfect kids' could never touch.
