"I take up too much space physically and should make myself smaller around others."
How it sounds in your head: I'm growing fast and feel like a giant in every room. I knock things over, bump into people, feel awkward in my own body. People make comments about how big I'm getting, and it doesn't feel like a compliment. Maybe I should hunch over, stay seated, take up less room.
"But the LORD said to Samuel, 'Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'"
-- 1 Samuel 16:7Enemy attack on your physical presence to make you shrink before you realize your size is for PROTECTION and AUTHORITY.
You're taller than adults now and it feels wrong. You see people's surprised faces when you stand up. You feel clumsy and oversized, like you don't fit anywhere comfortably. You've been told 'you don't know your own strength' as criticism.
Saul tried to put his armor on David, but it didn't fit—David was TOO SMALL for it. David didn't apologize for his size; he said 'I can't walk in this' and went with what FIT. God uses EXACTLY the size He made you.
I REFUSE the lie that I take up too much space. IT IS WRITTEN that man looks at outward appearance, but God looks at the HEART—and my heart is right-sized for His purposes. My physical presence isn't a mistake; it's DESIGN. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made—every inch of me is INTENTIONAL. The BARAK blessing means I am blessed coming in and going out—that includes blessed in THIS BODY. I don't shrink to make others comfortable. I stand FULL HEIGHT as a son of the King, taking up exactly the space God ASSIGNED me.
The Father doesn't want you smaller—He made you EXACTLY the size He needs for what He's calling you to. He looks at your body and says 'PERFECT—now let's show the world what I can do with that frame.'
