"I spent all my money on stupid stuff and now I'm stuck forever."
How it sounds in your head: I wasted my allowance on games and candy. Now I have nothing for what I really wanted. Dad's disappointed. I'm bad with money just like everyone says. I'll never have enough.
"But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. For this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry."

He sees his empty wallet and remembers his parents' lectures about choices having consequences. The shame feels permanent because adults keep reminding him of his mistake.
Demanded inheritance early, blew ALL of it on prostitutes and wild living, ended up feeding pigs. Father ran to him while he still SMELLED like pigs, gave him ring (authority), robe (identity), sandals (sonship), threw a party - full restoration in approximately fifteen minutes.
I REFUSE the lie that my bad financial choices have disqualified me from abundance. IT IS WRITTEN that the Father runs to prodigals and restores them FULLY and INSTANTLY. I am Abraham's seed by covenant - the BARAK blessing is mine not by my smart choices but by Jesus' blood. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the curse so the blessing of Abraham comes on me. My past spending doesn't determine my future provision. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. The Lord commands blessing on my storehouses RIGHT NOW.
Your Father isn't making you earn your way back through years of perfect budgeting. He's running toward you RIGHT NOW with the fattened calf He's been saving, ready to restore everything in a moment because you're His SON.
