"God won't bless me financially because I didn't tithe faithfully when I had income."
How it sounds in your head: You had years of good salary and you didn't give consistently. Now you need help but you didn't help the church when you could. You robbed God according to Malachi. The windows of heaven are closed to you because you didn't honor the storehouse.
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:8Religious teaching that puts believers back under Mosaic law and makes blessing conditional on performance.
You remember skipping offerings when money was tight, justifying it with bills. The pastor preached Malachi 3:8-10 and you felt condemned every time. Now you're the one who needs the blessing and wonder if you forfeited it.
Down to her last meal during famine, about to eat and die with her son—she hadn't been tithing to any storehouse. Elijah asked for her last bread first, and her jar of flour was not used up and her jug of oil did not run dry for years—instant, sustained provision from nothing.
I REFUSE the lie that my past giving record determines my present provision. IT IS WRITTEN that God makes all grace abound toward me, giving me sufficiency in ALL things. I am not under the Malachi curse because Christ became a curse for me. My Father's provision flows from His nature as Jehovah Jireh, not from my tithing percentage. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:19 that my God supplies all my need according to HIS riches in glory. I am blessed coming in and going out because I'm in covenant, not because I performed perfectly.
Your Father isn't holding a ledger of missed tithes—He's holding the nail-scarred hands that paid EVERY debt in full. The blessing is yours because Jesus said 'It is finished,' not because your checkbook was flawless.
