"I should wait until I'm financially blessed before I become a giver"
How it sounds in your head: All the testimonies I hear are from people who tithed and then got blessed. So the formula is: get blessed first, then you'll have something to give. Once God prospers me, I'll be so generous. But right now, there's just nothing to work with.
"For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have."
-- 2 Corinthians 8:12Source: religious teaching that reversed the biblical order, making blessing the prerequisite instead of the result of obedient giving
She's heard testimonies structured as 'God blessed me, so then I could give big' and assumed that's the sequence. Her current lack feels like disqualification from participating.
A boy had five small barley loaves and two fish—child-sized lunch, practically nothing in a crowd of thousands. He gave it anyway, and Jesus multiplied that inadequate offering to feed 5,000 men plus women and children with twelve baskets left over—his small willing gift became absurd abundance.
I REFUSE the lie that I need to be blessed before I can give. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 8:12 that if there's a willing mind, it's accepted according to what I HAVE, not what I lack. The boy gave five loaves—basically nothing—and Jesus multiplied it to feed thousands. I don't wait for abundance to participate; I give from my current reality and watch God turn it into overflow. IT IS WRITTEN in Malachi 3:10 that I bring the tithe FIRST, then windows open—the order is give, THEN pour out, not the reverse. I am Abraham's seed under the BARAK blessing, and that blessing operated when Abraham had little and when he had much—it's covenant, not cash amount.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to achieve a certain bank balance before He'll work with you—He's been scanning for a willing heart with five loaves so He can show off His multiplication. He's the Father who threw the party before the son proved anything, gave the robe before any service, because His blessings precede your performance every single time.
