"I should start preparing to die because the statistics say so."
How it sounds in your head: They showed me the survival rates. Only 10% make it past five years. I need to be realistic and prepare my family. It's responsible to face facts. Everyone keeps saying 'fight hard' but the numbers don't lie.
"And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God."
-- Romans 4:19-20Source: Enemy using fear statistics to override faith promises.
The charts and graphs look scientific and undeniable. Adults around him are crying and talking about 'making memories' which feels like giving up but also feels loving and practical.
Lazarus wasn't just diagnosed terminal—he was DEAD for four days and decomposing. Martha said 'he stinketh.' That's 100% fatality rate, zero survivors. Jesus didn't counsel grief preparation; He shouted 'Lazarus, come forth!' and dead cells OBEYED.
I REFUSE to prepare for death when Jesus prepared LIFE for me. IT IS WRITTEN that Abraham refused to consider his own dead body because he believed God's promise. Statistics are history; promises are destiny. I don't deny what the tests say; I deny them the FINAL SAY. My body hears the voice of its Creator louder than the voice of medical odds. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give me ABUNDANT life, not managed decline. The BARAK blessing covers me—the same covenant that protected liars and deceivers protects ME, and I'm righteous in Christ. I'm not being irresponsible; I'm being a son who knows his Father's nature.
Your Father isn't asking you to muster up denial or pretend you're not scared. He's asking you to let HIS faith carry you when yours feels small. He already sees you whole, and He's not worried about percentages.
