"I should just be grateful for what I have and not ask for more at my age."
How it sounds in your head: You're lucky to have what you do. Wanting more is greedy and inappropriate at 70. Just be content with your little apartment and your small life. Asking for more seems presumptuous now. That's for people building their lives, not ending them.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."
-- Ephesians 3:20Religion lie disguising poverty mindset as humility and using age to suppress godly desires.
Church taught her 'contentment' means accepting limitation, and wanting more seems selfish when she's 'almost done anyway.' Asking God for big things at 70 feels like she's being demanding and ungrateful.
Solomon asked for wisdom, and God said 'Because you didn't ask for long life or riches, I'm giving you wisdom AND riches AND honor AND long life.' God gave him what he asked for PLUS everything he didn't ask for—exceeding abundantly above. One request got multiplied blessings.
I REFUSE the lie that wanting more at my age is greedy. IT IS WRITTEN that God does EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY above all I ask or think—He is not offended by big requests from 70-year-olds. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing has no age limit. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 3:20 that His ability exceeds my imagination, and I walk in the Solomon anointing—ask for one thing, receive that PLUS everything you didn't ask for. I am BARAK blessed—the Lord commands blessing on my storehouses NOW, at this age, in this season.
The Father is not rolling His eyes at your desires—He's delighted that you're asking because He's been waiting to show you that 70 is not too late for EXCEEDING ABUNDANCE. He's running toward you with MORE than you can ask or think, and your age makes it more dramatic, not less possible.
