"You can't afford to tithe right now—you'll give when you have more margin."
How it sounds in your head: You're barely making rent. You have student loans. Giving 10% would mean not eating some weeks. God understands your situation. You'll be generous when you're stable, but right now you need every penny.
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
-- Luke 6:38Source: Fear of lack, world's financial logic, religious pressure around tithing, enemy's deception about provision.
Your bank account is literally in double digits before payday. The math doesn't work. Giving away money when you don't have enough feels irresponsible, even reckless. Logic says keep it until you have surplus.
She had one handful of flour and a little oil—enough for ONE final meal before she and her son starved to death. Elijah said 'make me a cake FIRST.' She gave her last, and the flour and oil never ran out for THREE YEARS of famine. She went from her last meal to supernatural provision instantly.
I REFUSE the lie that I can't afford to give. IT IS WRITTEN that when I give, it will be given to me—pressed down, shaken together, running over. I am a giver, not because I have abundance, but because I have a Father who IS abundance. IT IS WRITTEN that God will open the windows of heaven over my life. The BARAK blessing upon me means I am blessed coming in and going out, in the city and in the field. I am the lender and not the borrower. I will never lack because my God supplies ALL my needs according to His riches in glory.
The Father isn't testing your obedience with tithing—He's inviting you into a supernatural economy where seed sown in faith returns as a harvest you didn't work for. He's running toward you with provision that doesn't make logical sense, because His supply isn't limited by your paycheck.
