"I should just accept this chronic pain—it's part of getting older."
How it sounds in your head: Your back, your joints, your migraines—everyone your age has something. The doctor says it's 'degenerative' and to manage it. This is just your cross to bear now. Stop expecting to feel good.
"Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed."
-- 1 Peter 2:24Source: medical system's normalization of suffering combined with religious 'redemptive suffering' theology that makes pain holy.
She's lived with this pain for years, tried treatments that failed, and every peer has their own chronic issue. Accepting it feels like maturity, while hoping for healing feels naive.
She suffered twelve YEARS with chronic bleeding, spent all her money on doctors who made it worse, and was completely out of options. One touch of Jesus and IMMEDIATELY the flow stopped, and she FELT in her body that she was healed—instant end to twelve years of 'chronic.'
I REFUSE the lie that chronic pain is my normal. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, finished work, purchased reality. This pain has no legal right to my body; Christ bore it in His. IT IS WRITTEN in Exodus 15:26, 'I am the LORD who heals you'—not who used to, not who might—who HEALS. Present tense. Like the woman who suffered twelve years and was healed IMMEDIATELY, I receive instant healing NOW. I am under the BARAK blessing—blessed in my body, above sickness and not beneath it. My body answers to the blood of Jesus, not to age or diagnosis.
The Father isn't asking you to nobly suffer through pain—He already put that pain on JESUS so you could walk free. He's not impressed by your endurance of what He already destroyed; He's eager to manifest the healing He already provided.
