"I rejected my toxic family's money so now I have to prove I can make it alone"
How it sounds in your head: I walked away for my sanity and my kids' safety. But now I'm exhausted trying to prove I was right to leave. I can't ask God for provision because that would mean I need them, and I can't need people who hurt me.
"A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity."
-- Psalm 68:5-6Trauma creating false independence that rejects both toxic family AND heavenly Father's provision.
Her boundary was healthy but she's confusing needing God's help with being weak or needing toxic people. The prove-it-alone mentality feels like strength but it's actually bondage.
God told Abraham 'Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house' and THEN blessed him. The leaving wasn't punishment—it was PREREQUISITE to the BARAK. He walked away from family and walked into the blessing that covers you now.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm alone because I set healthy boundaries. IT IS WRITTEN that God is a FATHER to the fatherless and brings those escaping bondage into PROSPERITY. I didn't lose provision when I left toxicity—I positioned myself for SUPERNATURAL supply. IT IS WRITTEN that when father and mother forsake me, the Lord takes me up. Like Abraham, my leaving was the door to blessing, not the barrier. The BARAK covers me completely. I'm not proving I can make it alone—I'm RECEIVING from my Father who owns everything. I am blessed, defended, and provided for by the King.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to prove you didn't need them—He's already positioning resources, relationships, and provision that will make your exodus look ANOINTED. Your boundary was brave, and He's financing your freedom with abundance that doesn't come with strings.
