"I don't deserve inheritance because of how I treated my father before he died."
How it sounds in your head: You know what you said. You know the years you didn't call. The anger you carried. The bitterness at the funeral that you couldn't quite hide. You weren't the good son. And somewhere deep down you believe that disqualifies you—not just from his estate, but from God's blessing too.
"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence."
-- Ephesians 1:7-8Enemy using guilt from broken earthly relationship to block heavenly inheritance—making past define present access.
The regret is real. You can't undo those conversations or get back those years. Other family members were there—you weren't. The guilt sits heavy. How can you receive blessing when you failed at honor?
Worst king in Judah's history—sacrificed his own sons to demons, filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, led the nation into abomination. When captured and humbled, God heard his prayer and RESTORED him to his kingdom—full inheritance returned despite horrific past.
I REFUSE the lie that my past behavior disqualifies my present inheritance. IT IS WRITTEN that I have redemption through Christ's blood and forgiveness according to the RICHES of His grace (Ephesians 1:7). God doesn't withhold from me because of my failures. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ (Romans 8:1). My Father has QUALIFIED me to receive the inheritance (Colossians 1:12). The Barak isn't behavior-based—Jacob the deceiver was blessed, Abraham the liar was blessed. I am Abraham's seed, and ALL that the Father has is mine. I receive without guilt NOW.
Your Father isn't holding your past against you or keeping a record of failures. He's running toward you with the family ring—the symbol that you have FULL AUTHORITY in His household, not because of how you treated your earthly father, but because of how Jesus treated the cross.
