"I never spoke in tongues or had dramatic gifts, so I lack spiritual power."
How it sounds in your head: Other believers had dramatic experiences - tongues, prophecies, miracles. I just had quiet faith. Maybe I never got the 'real' power. Maybe my Christianity was second-class. I feel like I missed something essential.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."
-- Ephesians 1:3Religious comparison making spiritual gifts the source of authority instead of Christ's finished work and position.
90 years without dramatic manifestations. Saw others experience things he didn't. Quiet faith feels 'less than.' Near death, wonders if he missed something that mattered.
Joseph was a quiet disciple - no recorded miracles, no dramatic moments. But he had the BOLDNESS to ask Pilate for Jesus' body when all the 'powerful' disciples fled. His quiet faith accomplished what their gifts couldn't - he buried the King.
I REFUSE the lie that quiet faith means less power. IT IS WRITTEN that I have been blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in heavenly places - not some, ALL. My authority isn't in dramatic manifestations but in my POSITION as a son. IT IS WRITTEN that I have been given ALL things that pertain to life and godliness through knowing Him. The BARAK blessing flows to me by COVENANT, not by gift manifestation. I am seated with Christ whether I spoke in tongues or not. My union with Jesus gives me FULL authority. Greater is He in me - and that 'He' is the same whether my faith was loud or quiet. I lack NOTHING. I am COMPLETE in Him.
The Father doesn't rank His children by manifestations. He sees you clothed in the SAME righteousness as the most dramatically gifted believer - Christ's righteousness. Your quiet decades of faith are a SYMPHONY in His ears, and your authority is absolute because it's based on POSITION, not performance.
