"I have no spiritual authority over the enemy or evil in my life."
How it sounds in your head: Other guys seem to have authority when they pray—demons flee, breakthroughs happen. But when I speak, nothing moves. I'm just a regular guy trying to make it. Spiritual warfare is for pastors and mature believers, not someone like me who's still figuring things out.
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
-- Luke 10:19Source: religion teaching authority comes from spiritual maturity, fasting levels, or positional leadership rather than covenant identity.
He sees other men command prayer rooms or lead deliverance and wonders what they have that he lacks. His own prayers feel weak compared to the mounting pressures of career, marriage, and provision that seem unmoved by his words.
Jesus sent seventy ordinary, unnamed disciples with zero ministry experience into the field. They returned amazed: 'Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name!' They had instant authority not from their resume but from His name.
I REFUSE the lie that I lack spiritual authority. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus has given me authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over ALL the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). I am a son of the Most High God, seated with Christ in heavenly places far above all principalities and powers (Ephesians 1:20-21). The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me. IT IS WRITTEN that I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me (Romans 8:37). I carry the BARAK blessing of Abraham—the blessing that protected liars, deceivers, and failures because it's based on COVENANT, not character. Every demon in hell must bow to the name of Jesus in my mouth. I am a warrior, not a victim.
The Father didn't wait for you to get your theology perfect or your life together before giving you authority—He gave it the moment you became His son. Right now, He's running toward you with the ring of authority for your finger, the robe of righteousness for your identity, celebrating that His son has the power to crush every serpent under his feet.
