"I need too much emotionally and it burdens everyone around me."
How it sounds in your head: You've heard it explicitly or felt it implicitly - you're needy. Your girlfriend said you're emotionally draining. Your friends don't respond to texts anymore. You want deep conversation and everyone else wants surface level, so you've stopped sharing what you actually feel.
"Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."
-- 1 Peter 5:7Source: religion - 'man up' theology and emotional suppression teaching branded normal masculine needs as weakness.
When you've opened up about struggles, you've seen the discomfort in people's eyes. They change the subject or offer quick fixes instead of just listening, proving that your emotional reality is indeed a burden.
After victory, crashed into suicidal depression, literally asked to die. God didn't rebuke him for being too much - He sent an angel with food TWICE, let him sleep, then spoke gently.
I REFUSE the lie that my emotional needs burden people. IT IS WRITTEN that I can cast ALL my cares on Him because He cares for me. The Father doesn't have a capacity limit. My humanity is not a flaw - it's how I was DESIGNED. God created me as an emotional being, not a robot. IT IS WRITTEN in Hebrews 4:15 that Jesus sympathizes with my weaknesses. The BARAK blessing means I have FAVOR with God and man - the right people are equipped to handle the real me. I am not a burden; I am beloved.
The Father is running toward you carrying EXTRA capacity, not rationing His attention. While the world gives you the 'you're too needy' speech, He's preparing TABLE before you, anointing your head with oil, and your cup is OVERFLOWING.
