"I need to stay in lack so I can relate to people who are struggling."
How it sounds in your head: If I prosper, I won't understand what my friends going through hard times feel anymore. My testimony is in my struggle. If I'm blessed, I lose connection with the broken.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
-- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4Religious martyrdom teaching that your suffering qualifies you to minister and blessing disqualifies you.
Her best ministry moments have come from shared struggle and she's afraid prosperity will build walls. Staying broke feels like staying accessible.
She encountered Jesus, left her water jar, RAN to the city and said 'Come see!' Her IMMEDIATE transformation brought the whole town to Jesus. She didn't stay at the well to relate—her deliverance was the INVITATION.
I REFUSE the lie that I must stay in lack to minister. IT IS WRITTEN that I comfort with the comfort I've RECEIVED, not the trouble I'm still IN. I am a TESTIMONY of the Father's deliverance, not a monument to ongoing struggle. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of Abraham makes me a BLESSING to all families. The BARAK on my life gives HOPE to the struggling—they see the Father's goodness in my breakthrough. I prosper as PROOF that God delivers His daughters, not as disconnect from the broken.
The Father isn't keeping you broke to keep you relatable. He's already running toward you with breakthrough that will become the HOPE people cling to, showing them through your restoration that He's the kind of Father who RUNS to deliver His kids from every pit.
