"I need to have perfect faith with no doubts before healing can manifest."
How it sounds in your head: I believe God can heal, but sometimes I doubt. Maybe that doubt is blocking it. I've heard 'if you have faith as a mustard seed' and I feel like my faith is smaller than that. Maybe I'm not believing hard enough. What if my questions and fears are the problem? I'm trying to believe perfectly but I keep having scared thoughts.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religion making FAITH a work you perform perfectly instead of simple TRUST in what Jesus already did.
Lack of immediate healing seems to prove your faith is insufficient. Teaching about 'great faith' vs 'little faith' makes you measure and find yourself lacking. Your honest doubts and fears feel like failure. Teenage emotional volatility makes 'perfect faith' feel impossible to maintain.
This woman had suffered for 12 YEARS, spent everything on doctors who made her WORSE, and was ritually unclean. She FOUGHT through a crowd (illegal for her to touch people), thinking, 'IF I just touch His clothes, I'll be healed.' That's not perfect theology—she thought power was in FABRIC. She was desperate, probably doubting, definitely scared. But she REACHED ANYWAY. IMMEDIATELY her bleeding stopped, and Jesus said, 'Daughter, your FAITH has made you well.' Her imperfect, desperate reaching was enough.
I REFUSE the lie that I need perfect faith to receive healing. IT IS WRITTEN: a father with MIXED belief and unbelief saw his son healed IMMEDIATELY when he cried out honestly to Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN: faith as small as a MUSTARD SEED—the tiniest seed—is enough for NOTHING to be impossible. My faith isn't a performance I perfect; it's TRUST in what Jesus already finished. By His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, DONE, not dependent on my faith level. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, blessed under the Abrahamic covenant, redeemed from every curse. My Father doesn't grade my faith—He RECEIVES my trust, however imperfect, and GIVES me healing as a GIFT. I RECEIVE it now with whatever faith I have, because HIS faithfulness is perfect even when mine isn't.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to achieve perfect faith before releasing healing—He's holding it out to you right now with whatever mustard-seed faith you can muster. Like the father didn't wait for the prodigal to have perfect repentance or perfect understanding before running to him, God doesn't wait for perfect faith. Your reaching, however shaky, is ENOUGH because His power is made perfect in weakness.
