"I need to have enough faith for healing to work, and mine just isn't strong enough."
How it sounds in your head: People say 'if you had faith like a mustard seed' and you feel like you don't even have that. Every time prayer doesn't result in instant healing, you think it's because YOUR faith failed. The pressure is crushing.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
-- Ephesians 2:8-9Religious teaching that makes healing dependent on human faith levels instead of Jesus' finished work.
Jesus talked about faith moving mountains, so when your pain doesn't move, the obvious conclusion feels like your faith is defective. Every sermon on faith feels like an accusation.
Told Jesus 'I believe; help my UNbelief!'—admitting his faith was mixed with doubt. Jesus didn't say 'come back when your faith is pure.' He IMMEDIATELY cast out the demon. Imperfect faith didn't block instant deliverance.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith isn't strong enough for healing. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 2:8-9 that even faith is a GIFT from God, not something I manufacture through effort. Jesus is the AUTHOR and FINISHER of my faith—He supplies it, I receive it. The BARAK blessing didn't wait for Abraham's perfect faith—it protected him when he LIED out of FEAR. My healing isn't locked behind a faith threshold I have to reach; it's FINISHED at the cross, waiting for me to simply RECEIVE. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, complete, regardless of how strong I feel today.
Your Father isn't standing at a distance measuring your faith levels before releasing healing—He's the Dad who killed the fattened calf for the son who had NO faith left, who was ready to be a SERVANT. He gives robes to the doubting and rings to the broken because His gifts aren't earned by perfect faith; they're given in GRACE.
