"I need to 'die to self' and my desires for financial comfort before God will bless me."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe I'm not surrendered enough. Maybe God is withholding until I'm okay with never having. If I stop wanting, maybe then He'll give. But I can't stop worrying about bills and that must mean I'm not crucified enough.
"Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart."
-- Psalm 37:4Religion twisted 'deny yourself' into denying God's provision, making lack a test instead of seeing that you're already blessed by covenant.
You've been taught that desire itself is the problem and that God blesses surrender, not faith. You think wanting financial peace means you're not trusting God, when actually He wants you to receive what He's already given.
He came home wanting to be a servant, still desiring provision. The Father didn't wait for him to 'die to self'—He RAN, restored him FULLY, and threw a party before the son even finished his speech.
I REFUSE the lie that I must die to my desires before God blesses me. IT IS WRITTEN: When I delight in Him, He GIVES me the desires of my heart. My Father isn't waiting for me to stop wanting—He's eager to provide. Christ already redeemed me from the curse; I don't need to crucify myself again to access what He purchased. The BARAK blessing is mine NOW, not after I prove I don't need it. IT IS WRITTEN: My God supplies ALL my need according to HIS riches. I receive freely. I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. The Father runs toward me with provision, not away until I'm surrendered enough.
Your Father isn't testing your surrender with scarcity—He's already killed the fattened calf, already prepared abundance, already decided to bless you before you even asked. He's not waiting for you to stop wanting; He's celebrating that you're finally ready to receive.
