"I need to deserve wealth before God releases it. My past failures disqualify me from abundance."
How it sounds in your head: If I'd been a better husband, provider, steward earlier, maybe God would bless me now. I made too many financial mistakes. You reap what you sow, and I sowed poorly for decades.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Religion made blessing EARNED through performance, contradicting the God who blessed Jacob the DECEIVER and Abraham the LIAR repeatedly.
He remembers every bad investment, every foolish purchase, every fight with his wife over money. 'You reap what you sow' feels like a verdict on his life. At 75, the harvest of past mistakes seems locked in.
Jacob DECEIVED his father Isaac to steal Esau's blessing through outright lies. When discovered, Isaac trembled but said, 'I have blessed him—and he SHALL BE BLESSED.' The blessing wasn't reversible even through DECEPTION because it was covenant, not character.
I REFUSE the lie that my past disqualifies me from wealth. IT IS WRITTEN Christ redeemed me from the curse INTO the blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13-14). The BARAK protected JACOB THE DECEIVER; how much more does Jesus' blood cover me? IT IS WRITTEN there is NO CONDEMNATION for me (Romans 8:1). My financial mistakes are under the BLOOD. I don't earn blessing through perfect stewardship; I INHERIT it as Abraham's seed. I RECEIVE abundance as my covenant right, regardless of past failures, TODAY.
Your Father isn't holding your financial mistakes against you—He's the Dad who gave the RING (authority over resources) to the son who just blew his entire inheritance on prostitutes BEFORE the son even cleaned up. He's running toward you with abundance because you're His son, period.
