"Kingdom wealth is fake prosperity gospel; real Christianity means staying poor and humble."
How it sounds in your head: I've watched televangelists fleece people my whole life. Maybe wanting financial ease now is just greed dressed up in Scripture. Perhaps I should accept my lot and stop hoping for more than social security.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Religion: Poverty doctrine taught as holiness; reaction against Word of Faith excesses.
He's seen genuine scams and prosperity preachers with private jets while members struggle. Humility was equated with lack in his upbringing, and wanting more feels spiritually dangerous.
Abraham was called the father of faith AND 'very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.' His wealth wasn't despite his spirituality—it was part of the covenant blessing God gave him, which you inherited through Christ (Galatians 3:29).
I REFUSE the lie that Kingdom wealth is fake or that desiring provision is carnal greed. IT IS WRITTEN that the Beloved should prosper in ALL things (3 John 1:2). I am Abraham's seed through Christ, heir according to the PROMISE, and the BARAK blessing is mine by covenant, not behavior. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the curse so the blessing of Abraham might come upon me (Galatians 3:13-14). I declare I am blessed in my storehouses, blessed coming in and going out. God commands blessing on everything I set my hand to, and I receive it NOW as a son, not a beggar.
Your Father isn't offended that you want financial ease in your eighties—He's been PREPARING provision like the fattened calf, waiting to release abundance the moment you stop disqualifying yourself. The blessing isn't earned by poverty; it's received by sonship, and you're His beloved son right now.
