"I need to confess every sin and renounce every occult contact to be fully free"
How it sounds in your head: Maybe I missed something. Maybe there's some sin I haven't confessed or some occult thing I haven't renounced. I need to make sure I've covered everything or demons can still have access.
"For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified"
-- Hebrews 10:14Source: Legalistic deliverance formulas that make freedom dependent on perfect confession and renunciation
He's still struggling, so the enemy makes him think he missed something in his confession. The checklist mentality offers false hope that perfect performance will finally bring breakthrough.
The thief had no time to confess every sin, renounce every past evil, or go through deliverance. He simply believed and Jesus declared: 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' Instant salvation, instant freedom—no checklist required.
I REFUSE the lie that I must confess everything perfectly to be free. IT IS WRITTEN: 'By ONE offering He has perfected me forever' (Hebrews 10:14). Jesus' blood covers what I can't remember. IT IS WRITTEN: 'The blood of Jesus cleanses me from ALL sin' (1 John 1:7). ALL means ALL. I don't need a perfect checklist—His sacrifice was perfect. I am ALREADY perfected, ALREADY cleansed, ALREADY free. The BARAK blessing is mine not because of perfect confession but because of covenant. I am under grace, not law.
Father isn't holding a checklist waiting for you to remember everything. He's declaring: 'My Son's blood covered it ALL—you're totally free RIGHT NOW.' He sees you as perfectly cleansed, not as someone who missed a spot.
