"I need to be perfect to be worthy of God's blessings and favor."
How it sounds in your head: When I mess up at school or at home, I feel like God must be holding back from me. Maybe He'll bless me when I can go a whole week without making mistakes.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Religion links God's blessing to behavior, contradicting the BARAK that protected liars, deceivers, and murderers by covenant alone.
You notice that when you obey parents, things go smoother. It seems logical that God operates the same way—good behavior equals good outcomes.
Abraham lied about Sarah being his sister—TWICE—to save his own skin. God didn't withdraw the blessing; He plagued the kings, defended Abraham, and sent him away RICHER both times.
I REFUSE the lie that my perfection unlocks God's blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the curse so the BARAK of Abraham would be mine. Abraham lied and prospered. Jacob deceived and was blessed. The blessing isn't earned—it's INHERITED through covenant. IT IS WRITTEN: I am blessed coming in and going out, in the city and in the field. My mistakes don't cancel what Jesus' blood secured. I declare I walk in favor NOT because I'm perfect, but because I'm His.
The Father already commanded blessing on your storehouses before you got out of bed this morning. His favor isn't waiting for a perfect week—it's already active because you're in covenant through Jesus' blood.
