"I need to accept this diagnosis as God's sovereign will for my life."
How it sounds in your head: Doctors said it's terminal or chronic—fighting feels like fighting God. Maybe surrendering to the diagnosis IS surrendering to God's will. Sounds spiritually mature.
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases."
-- Psalm 103:2-3Source: Religion confusing SUBMISSION TO GOD with SUBMISSION TO DISEASE, making sickness equal to divine will instead of an enemy to resist.
It relieves the exhaustion of fighting and gives you permission to stop contending for healing. Sounds humble and trusting instead of demanding and entitled.
Isaiah told him 'set your house in order, you SHALL DIE'—a PROPHET declared terminal diagnosis. Hezekiah prayed, and God ADDED FIFTEEN YEARS. God overrode His own prophet's medical report with instant healing extension.
I REFUSE the lie that accepting a diagnosis is accepting God's will. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord heals ALL my diseases—Psalm 103:3—that's His WILL, not sickness management. Hezekiah got a TERMINAL diagnosis from a PROPHET and God reversed it with fifteen added years. Medical reports bow to the WORD. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO sickness in the blessing section of Deuteronomy 28—I am blessed in my body, the head not the tail, ABOVE ONLY. I am Abraham's seed by covenant, heir to the BARAK that protected murderers and liars—how much MORE does it protect me in Christ's blood. I submit to GOD by resisting disease. This diagnosis is NOT my sovereign assignment; HEALING is my covenant inheritance. Sickness, you are ILLEGAL. I receive resurrection life NOW.
Your Father's will isn't the diagnosis—His will is Psalm 103, healing ALL your diseases because that's who He IS. He didn't run toward you with a terminal report; He ran toward you with the robe of righteousness and the ring of authority over sickness.
