"I need more faith before God will heal me. My faith isn't strong enough."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe if I believed harder, prayed longer, fasted more, I'd see results. The problem must be my weak faith. I doubt too much. Until I get my faith right, God can't move.
"And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, 'Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.' Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, 'I am willing; be cleansed.' Immediately his leprosy was cleansed."
-- Matthew 8:2-3Religious performance teaching that makes healing about your faith quality instead of God's grace.
Jesus said 'according to your faith' and you're aware of your doubts. When healing doesn't come, blaming your faith seems more humble than questioning God. You've been taught faith is a work you must perfect.
The father cried 'I believe; help my unbelief!'—admitting doubt in the same breath as faith. Jesus didn't say 'come back when you believe more'—He immediately cast out the demon and healed the boy despite the father's mixed faith.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith must reach a certain level before God heals. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus told the leper 'I AM willing' and healed him immediately. It's not about my faith strength—it's about His willingness, which never wavers. The BARAK blessing wasn't based on Abraham's perfect faith—he lied twice and was still protected. IT IS WRITTEN that the father with mixed faith still saw his son delivered. Jesus didn't require perfect belief, just honest reaching. I reach now, doubts and all, and receive.
Your Father isn't grading your faith like a test—He's moved by your reaching, however weak. Like He ran to the prodigal who had zero faith left, just desperation, He runs to you with healing in His wings.
