How it sounds in your head: You're grateful for your doctors, the surgeries that helped, the medications that manage symptoms. Expecting supernatural healing feels like rejecting medical wisdom. Maybe medicine IS the miracle now.

Medicine has extended your life, helped friends survive cancer, given you more years with grandchildren. It feels ungrateful or even dangerous to expect healing outside the medical system.
Hezekiah was sick to the point of death—the prophet told him to set his house in order because he WOULD die. Hezekiah prayed, and God added FIFTEEN YEARS to his life. God used a poultice of figs (medicine), but the HEALING was divine intervention—his death sentence was REVERSED.
I REFUSE the lie that miracles were just for before modern medicine. IT IS WRITTEN: I am the LORD who heals you—present tense, not past tense, not replaced by medical advances. I thank God for doctors as tools in His hand, but my ultimate healing flows from the Vine I'm attached to. I don't have to choose between medicine and miracles—I receive BOTH as expressions of my Father's goodness. IT IS WRITTEN: beloved, I pray you prosper in ALL things and be in health—health is STILL God's will for New Testament believers. I carry the BARAK blessing that protected Abraham even through famine and war—my body is covered by covenant, not limited by medical prognosis. The same God who added fifteen years to Hezekiah's life speaks LIFE over my years.
The Father isn't offended by your gratitude for medicine—He invented the plants and chemicals doctors use. But He's running toward you with MORE than management, MORE than maintenance. He's the Father who healed Hezekiah after the death sentence was pronounced, and He's celebrating every cell in your body responding to His voice RIGHT NOW, whether through medicine or miracle or both.
