He had been sick for 38 YEARS, lying by a pool waiting for a miracle, with no one to help him into the water when it stirred. Jesus didn't say 'this is building your character, stay here'—He said 'Rise, take up your bed and walk,' and IMMEDIATELY the man was made well, picked up his mat, and walked away from 38 years of suffering in a single moment.
I REFUSE the lie that God uses sickness to teach me patience or empathy, as if He needs disease as a curriculum. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus healed ALL who were oppressed by the devil because sickness is OPPRESSION, not education. God is not the author of my sickness—the enemy is. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I was healed, which means healing is the WILL of God, not a potential obstacle to my growth. I can grow in character through VICTORY and WHOLENESS, not just through suffering. I am an heir of the BARAK blessing, which includes HEALTH. My testimony will be greater healed than sick. I receive healing NOW and reject the religious lie that makes God a sadistic teacher.
The Father isn't withholding healing to build your character like some cosmic drill sergeant who breaks you down to build you up. He's running toward you with the same immediate healing He gave the man who'd been sick 38 YEARS, wanting to restore your body in a moment. He's not the author of your sickness—He's the Healer who's been waiting for you to know that healing is His HEART, not His reluctant backup plan.
