"I need a relationship to be complete and whole"
How it sounds in your head: You feel like half a person waiting for your other half. Every romance movie, every love song, every cultural message screams that you're incomplete without 'your person.' The ache of incompleteness feels unbearable.
"For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power."
-- Colossians 2:9-10World system lie that contradicts Colossians 2:10 and reduces your identity to relationship status
Every story you've been told—from Disney to romance novels to wedding culture—has trained you to see singleness as a problem that marriage solves. The cultural catechism is: relationship equals wholeness.
Jesus lived His entire earthly life single and was the most complete, whole, fulfilled human who ever existed. He didn't need a romantic relationship to accomplish the greatest mission in history or experience the fullness of the Father's love.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm incomplete without a relationship. IT IS WRITTEN that I am COMPLETE in Christ, who is the head of all principality and power. I am not half a person waiting for my other half. IT IS WRITTEN that I have been blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in heavenly places. I am whole, I am full, I am enough because I am IN HIM. My identity is not found in relationship status but in whose I am.
The Father doesn't look at you as incomplete or lacking—He sees you as His complete, whole, beloved daughter right now. The completeness you're craving is found in intimacy with Him, not in finding 'the one.'
