"God won't bring a wife until I become the man I should be."
How it sounds in your head: I need to get my finances right, my spiritual life right, my career established first. God is waiting for me to prove I'm ready. I'm not good enough yet.
"Now Jacob loved Rachel; so he said, 'I will serve you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter.'"
-- Genesis 29:18Performance-based religion that makes God's blessing contingent on your readiness instead of His nature.
Every men's ministry teaches about 'becoming the man worthy of a good woman.' You see your flaws and assume God does too, withholding blessing until you fix yourself.
Adam didn't pray for a wife, didn't work on himself, didn't prove readiness. God said 'not good for man to be alone' and sovereignly created Eve while Adam was unconscious, presenting her as a gift Adam did nothing to earn.
I REFUSE the lie that God is waiting for me to become good enough before He brings a wife. IT IS WRITTEN that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us—the Father gives His best when we're at our worst. Adam received Eve as pure gift while unconscious. Jacob met Rachel as a broke refugee. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 2:8-9 that salvation is by grace through faith, not of works—and so is every blessing. The BARAK blessing isn't earned by readiness. I declare God brings provision based on His nature, not my performance. The Father is running toward me with blessing while I'm still a mess.
The Father isn't waiting for you to fix yourself before He moves—He brings the best gifts when you're most desperate, proving it's all Him and none of you. He gave Adam a wife while he was literally asleep.
