"I'll be the weird single adult everyone pities later in life"
How it sounds in your head: I imagine myself at 30 or 40, still alone, and everyone at family gatherings feeling sorry for me. The weird uncle nobody talks about. The failure everyone quietly judges.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11Enemy projecting future shame based on current circumstances to create hopelessness and identity paralysis.
Pre-teens are developing future thinking and catastrophizing is common. Seeing awkward single adults triggers terror of becoming them, as if current state determines permanent identity.
Moses was 80 years old, tending sheep in obscurity, with a murder charge in his past and decades of nothing happening. Then God appeared in a burning bush and launched him into the greatest deliverance mission in history—from forgotten shepherd to national deliverer in ONE ENCOUNTER.
I REFUSE the lie that I'll be the pitied single adult. IT IS WRITTEN that God's thoughts toward me are for a future and a hope. My future isn't determined by my present—Moses was 80 when his destiny launched. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:28 that ALL things work together for my good. I am under the BARAK blessing that made Abraham a father of nations when he had NO children at 75. I receive expectation of GOOD, divine turnarounds, and a future so bright it eclipses present circumstances. My story is written by promise, not by current status.
Your Father isn't looking at you with pity, worried about your future—He's excited about the story He's writing that you can't see yet. Like Moses at 80 launching his greatest chapter, your best is ahead, not behind.
