"I must have unforgiveness or hidden sin blocking my blessing."
How it sounds in your head: I've searched my heart over and over, confessed everything I can think of, asked God to reveal any hidden sin. But the baby still hasn't come, so there must be something I'm missing—some unforgiveness I haven't identified, some sin blocking the blessing.
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:13-14Religious witchcraft that makes you the obstacle to God's goodness, turning your heart into a crime scene investigation.
Well-meaning believers and Christian books teach that unanswered prayer means hidden sin, making you endlessly interrogate yourself instead of trusting God's goodness. The delay becomes 'evidence' of your failure.
The thief had ZERO time to search his heart, confess all his sins, forgive everyone, or clean up his life—he simply said 'remember me' and Jesus IMMEDIATELY declared 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' No process, no sin inventory, no forgiveness checklist—instant, complete salvation based on Jesus' finished work alone.
I REFUSE the lie that hidden sin is blocking my blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that God has forgiven me ALL trespasses and nailed every requirement to the cross. I am not under law, searching for hidden landmines—I am under GRACE, standing in complete forgiveness. The blood of Jesus covers what I remember AND what I've forgotten. I break agreement with religious witchcraft that makes me the obstacle to God's goodness. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ. Under the BARAK blessing, even when Abraham LIED he was protected and blessed—the blessing was never based on perfect behavior but on covenant. God's goodness toward me is not dependent on my perfection but on JESUS' perfection. I am FREE.
The Father is not waiting for you to find the secret sin or achieve perfect forgiveness—He's already declared you FORGIVEN ALL because of the blood. Right now, He sees you through the lens of Jesus' perfection, not your performance, and He's not withholding because of something you missed.
