THE LIE Demonic Oppression

"I must have opened a door through past sin that gave demons legal access to me."

How it sounds in your head: Maybe it was the occult books I read in my twenties. Or bitterness I held for years. Perhaps unforgiveness created a legal right. Now at the end of my life, those doors are still open and I don't have strength to close them.

IT IS WRITTEN Colossians 2:13-14

"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."

Enemy whispers: 'Your past sins gave me legal access.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Colossians 2:13-14 - He forgave ALL trespasses, wiped out EVERY requirement against you, nailed it ALL to the cross. There is no legal case. The Judge ruled in your favor. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 there is NO condemnation. Past sin, present failure, forgotten mistakes—ALL covered. The blood speaks better things than Abel. No door the cross didn't close.

Religious teaching about 'legal rights' and 'open doors' creates performance-based protection, implying Jesus' blood wasn't enough and believers must discover hidden access points.

Why this feels true:

Deliverance ministry teaching emphasized finding and closing every possible 'door,' making her scan her entire life for failures that might explain current attack. The teaching made demonic access about her actions rather than Christ's victory.

The man lived in tombs with LEGION (thousands of demons) but the moment Jesus spoke, they ALL left and he was found 'clothed and in his right mind.' No counseling process, no discovering which doors were opened—instant, complete deliverance by one word from Jesus.

I REFUSE the lie that past sin created legal access the blood couldn't close. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus forgave ALL trespasses and wiped out every handwriting of requirements against me. There is no legal case because the Judge declared me righteous. Every door was closed at the cross. IT IS WRITTEN that there is now NO condemnation to those in Christ. The enemy has no legal right, no valid claim, no access based on my history. I am washed, sanctified, justified in the name of Jesus.
