"I hurt people deeply—my relational wreckage disqualifies me from leadership or influence."
How it sounds in your head: You ghosted people, burned bridges, said things you can't take back. Ex-girlfriends, former friends, family members—the relational carnage is real. Leadership requires trust, and you've proven you can't be trusted.
"This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life."
-- 1 Timothy 1:15-16Source: Enemy accusation rooted in real harm, but denying the greater reality of Christ's restoration and God's ability to redeem ALL things.
The people you hurt are real, the pain you caused is real. Some relationships are permanently damaged. You can't lead if people know your history—the disqualification feels earned, justified, permanent.
Moses murdered an Egyptian, buried him in sand, fled the country as a fugitive. Forty years later, God appeared in a burning bush and said: 'You're leading the entire nation out of Egypt.' Murder didn't disqualify him—God called him the meekest man on earth and used him to write the first five books of the Bible.
I REFUSE the lie that relational wreckage disqualifies me from leadership. IT IS WRITTEN: Paul called himself the CHIEF of sinners, then became the chief APOSTLE—his past was his PATTERN, not his prison. I hurt people, yes. I caused damage, yes. But I am a NEW CREATION—old things PASSED AWAY. IT IS WRITTEN: 'If anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION.' Moses murdered a man and led a nation. If God can use a murderer to write Scripture, He can use me. My wreckage is my testimony. I am QUALIFIED by the blood, RESTORED by grace, RELEASED to lead.
The Father doesn't see the bridges you burned—He sees the BRIDGE He built with His Son's body. He's not reviewing your relational resume—He's declaring you QUALIFIED because of Jesus. The wreckage is real, but the BLOOD is greater. You're not disqualified—you're a TROPHY of grace.
