"Because I was abused or traumatized, I'm permanently damaged and can't be fully whole or fruitful."
How it sounds in your head: What happened to me broke something inside that can't be fixed. Even if God heals some of it, I'll always be 'the girl with trauma.' I can't bear fruit like someone who wasn't violated or hurt. My foundation is cracked.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
-- Psalm 147:3Source: Trauma + enemy agreement creates identity as 'broken' rather than 'healed,' making past pain a permanent ceiling.
The effects of abuse are REAL—triggers, memories, broken trust. It feels like the damage is structural, not just surface. She sees whole, joyful people and thinks, 'I'll never be like that.'
Tamar was raped by her half-brother, then abandoned and desolate. Despite this trauma, another Tamar (Judah's daughter-in-law) is in Jesus' genealogy—a woman violated, yet FRUITFUL in the Messianic line. Trauma didn't disqualify her from legacy. God redeems the violated and makes them FRUITFUL beyond the violation.
I REFUSE the lie that trauma made me permanently damaged. IT IS WRITTEN: 'He HEALS the brokenhearted and BINDS UP their wounds'—not manages, HEALS. Tamar was violated and still in Jesus' family tree—FRUITFUL beyond trauma. IT IS WRITTEN: There is NO condemnation in Christ. I am Abraham's seed—BARAK blessing doesn't ask what was done TO me. The Father runs to me with robe, ring, sandals, FULL restoration, party, making me WHOLE and FRUITFUL, not coping but THRIVING.
The Father isn't patting you on the head saying 'you're doing your best with what you've been through.' He's HEALING, BINDING UP, making you WHOLE—ring, robe, sandals, FULL authority, like you were NEVER violated. Prodigal got a party, not a therapy plan.
