"I have to work twice as hard as everyone else just to keep up and not be exposed."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone else seems to understand things naturally. You have to study twice as long, practice twice as much, try twice as hard just to stay average. If you relax for one second, you'll fall behind and everyone will see you're not smart enough.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
-- Matthew 11:28-30Performance-based identity rooted in works righteousness—believing rest equals failure and striving equals safety.
She watches other girls who seem effortlessly good at things while she feels like she's grinding just to survive. Comparison makes her effort feel like evidence of inadequacy rather than diligence.
God called Bezalel by name and filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and ALL manner of workmanship to design artistic works INSTANTLY—not through years of grinding, but through supernatural FILLING. He didn't earn the skill—God GAVE it.
I REFUSE the lie that I must outwork everyone to prove I belong. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus calls me to rest, and His yoke is easy and His burden is light. IT IS WRITTEN that my sufficiency is FROM GOD, not from my grinding. The BARAK blessing doesn't require me to earn it through exhaustion—it flows by COVENANT. I lay down the heavy yoke of performance and take up the easy yoke of abiding in His love.
